Apprentice Early Years Teaching Assistant Level 3

We are looking for a fantastic teaching assistant to work in our EYFS provision to help our children start their life-long learning journey.  Our children want someone who goes the extra mile for them so you will need to be an excellent Early Year’s practitioner who is able to understand that all our children are individual and like you, have bags of potential!  We are a forward thinking, friendly village school at the heart of our community.  Have you got what it takes to become a member of Team TCP and help our children to realise their potential?

 

We are looking for someone who is kind, patient and motivated to provide the best provision for our children.  You will work under the direction of the teacher but use your skills and knowledge to ensure inclusive practices are effective.  You will develop relationships with parents and the staff team therefore being a good communicator is essential.

Essential Qualifications:

  • GCSE C (4) or equivalent in English and Maths

  Desirable Qualifications:

  • Paediatric first aid

 Desirable Experience

  • experience of working with children in the EYFS
  • experience of nurturing pupil interaction and behaviour
  • experience of working in a primary school setting
  • experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour

 

The post is from the 1st September 2024 for 24 months (30 hrs per week).

Welfare Assistant Vacancy

We have a vacancy for someone to join our Welfare Team starting September 2024 This will be 5 hours per week, 12.15pm to 1.15pm each day.  You will be joining a team who ensure that lunchtimes are an enjoyable and safe experience for our children. The successful candidate will... 

  • supervise the children in the dining room whilst they are eating their lunch and encourage healthy eating 
  • model and demonstrate play activities for the children and lead structured play
  • promote positive play and encourage peer playgroups 
  • monitor behaviour at lunchtime in accordance with our behaviour policy 
  • carry out first aid when necessary
  • develop positive relationships with both adults and children
